Stowe Vista / Stowe Mountain
If you’re after some serious east coast riding, then the popular resort of Stowe is your place. It’s a proper mountain spread over three distinct areas, each one lending itself to a different level of ability: Spruce Peaks is the beginner/intermediate area (a little isolated from the main ride area);
Mt Mansfield is accessed by the fastest 8-person gondola in the world, and is an intermediate’s paradise with great cruising terrain, perfect for those who like to carve. The final area is the largest, and a perfect mix for each style in the advanced stages. Because Stowe is a popular hangout with city slickers and weekend tourists, the lifts can get clogged on weekend mornings, but don’t be put off - a short wait will be awarded with a good long run.
