Silverton Mountain

Silverton mountain is at the opposite end of the spectrum to the vast majority of the glitzy resorts that Colorado is famous for. However if its back to basic, steep and deep freeriding you are after then a visit here is an absolute must.

A single chairlift and a little hiking will give you access to over 1800 acres, very little queuing and some epic powder days, with the resort boasting an average of 10m per season.

The resort came into the spotlight last season as the secret location of the private halfpipe that red bull built for Shaun White, so he could perfect his tomahawk for the Olympics.
