Okemo Vista / Okemo
Freeriders who like bumps must check out Ledges, Chief and The Plunge. Recommended gladed runs are Double Diamond and Outrage. Both are long, steep and covered by snowmaking machines, which means that they open early and stay open late into the season.
Okemo has expanded and now has new glades in the South Face area known as Forest Bump offering even more tree riding! Once you’re clear of the trees and bumps, you won’t believe the huge, ultra-long, rolling trails that are Okemo’s trademark. Sapphire, World Cup, Coleman Brook, and Tomahawk are just a few trails that are perfect for going fast and boosting huge airs. For safety’s sake, always use a spotter.
Freestylers won’t want to miss okemo’s snowboard parks, or the massive super pipe, which measures over 500 feet and is served by the Pull surface lift. There’s also the Hot Dog Hill’s mini pipe ideal beginners. Nor’Easter Super Park located on the Nor’Easter trail is by far the resorts biggest park.
The Dew Zone is next to the superpipe while the Blind Faith Terrain Park has some big table tops. Located at Jackson Gore is the Snowskate Park with some rails and kickers. The Hot Dog Hill Mini Park is for beginners.
