Full-on freeriders resort offering great open and tree-lined riding on crowd free slopes ideal for all levels. Excellent local facitities of a high quality. Bachelor may not be steep but it makes up for this with awesome wind-enhanced terrain and decent parks. Some have described the Bachelor terrain as being similar to a snow covered skate park with all its windlips, transfers and transistions. Even with only a few inches of fresh (which is about every other day) you will have a great time than

Mt Bachelor doesn't offer any substantial slopeside facilities. However, excellent laid back local services with a warm welcome are available 20 miles away in Bend or Sunriver. A free, daily and regular shuttle bus service runs to and from the slopes. Hitching to the mountain is also a good bet and cars do stop to pick you up. Bend and the surrounding area has everything you need for your stay, shops, banks, postal services and a huge array of in and out-door sporting attractions. Good snowboard hire services are at Bachelor Ski & Sport and Side Effects
There are no big surprises when it comes to restaurants. What you are offered is a good, but somewhat basic selection of eatries where you can wine and dine down in Bend, or have a snack attack up on Bachelor. The Taco Stand is the place to fill yourself with a burrito bomber: this beauty will clog up any 15 gallon pressure-locked toilet. Stuft Pizza is the place for pasta dishes. Pasta and pizza lovers should make for the Stuft Pizza restaurant. On the Mountain locals call Scapolo's in the Pine Marten Lodge from the chairlift and have pizza waiting when they arrive.
The area can accommodate over 7,500 visitors, but nothing directly on the slopes. The nearest lodging is only a few miles from the slopes at the Inn of The Seventh Mountain, but the best choice of condos, B&B's and lodges can be found in the town of Bend, 20 miles away from Bachelor.
Night-life at Bachelor is not exactly the most happening. However, things liven up in Bend where there are enough joints to drink and dance in until you drop. Try Evil Sister Saloon if you're inclined to the 'alternative' end of the spectrum. Legends is also a cool hangout with large screens and a decent beer.
