For some nice and mellow Freeriding head up chair 2 up around Ptarmigan's Roost. Chair 8 is the spot in the Zip Basin with the top being all skate park style with little wind lips and double ups, then dip into the trees you'll find a little warming hut and a bunch jibs made by the local shred heads! Also off of chair 8 is a back country access gate that gains you access to some incredible tree lines! If you really want to challenge yourself hit chair 9 and hike the ridge for some steep lines and chutes.
For the terrain park go up chair 1 and take the Cat Walk to Tempest. The park is small with some mellow jumps and rails, good for practicing new tricks.
Any carvers or riders that like to ride at speed have a good resort with well maintained trails that are nicely laid out. Some of the best carving is off the number 6 lift.
Beginners can take a lesson here to help then tackle what is largely not a beginner’s resort. That’s not to say novices should stay away, it’s just that the resort is more of an intermediate level.
