Crested Butte

2013/14: Trail widening will widen the Double top and Black Eagle areas. Three new child friendly slopes will be created through the trees to give a tree lined riding experience. 2010/11: Improvements include: the debut of the new Gold Link Terrain Park and Superpipe; expanded tree-skiing and riding options in Horseshoe Springs; increased snowmaking capabilities; and $400K in improvements to the Treasury Center base lodge. In addition, CBMR celebrates 50 years of skiing throughout 2010-2011. 10/11: New terrain park & superpipe. Additional gladed runs, expansion of snowmaking and changes to base. 05/06: new quad chair replaces a t-bar. New base village and groomers, and various improvements to the resort in general. 04/05:Under new ownership (they also own Okemo resort). Prospect lift with 3 new trails with 15 acres of intermediate terrain. Magic carpet lengthened for beginers, much improved beginners park.

• Driving: From Denver take Highway 285 south to Poncha Springs ,Highway 50 west to Gunnison , then Highway 135 north into Crested Butte, total 233 miles, drive time is about 6 1/2 hours.
• Flying: Fly to Denver International, transfer time to resort is 6 1/2 hours. Local airport is Gunnison/Crested Butte, 30 miles south with services from/to Denver.
