Big Sky /
Big Sky is a typical corporate style resort which only goes back to around 1973, when the place was first built aided by millions of corporate dollars. Located just south of Bozeman in the northern Rockies, Big Sky is an impressive place, where you can do some serious riding on crowd-free slopes that rise above the tree lines. The rideable area is reached by Big Sky's tram and is spread over Andesite Mountain and Lone Mountain, which rise up to 3,400 meters.
in October 2013, they officially joined forces with their neighbor Moonlight Basin, and now offer a jaw dropping 5800 acres making it the largest resort in the USA, and also with the highest vertical. 250 trails, means that a week here and you would have barely touched the surface.
