2008/9 season: $8million spent on snowmaking, trail improvements, moving the terrain park, magic carpet lifts and renovating the main hotel 2007/8:Snowmaking capability from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the tram. Allowing us to open more of the mountain in November. Trail improvements this summer will provide more beginner and intermediate runs. Terrain Park moving from Chair 7 to Tanaka. Alyeska Resort will also join forces with Burton to become a Learn to Ride Center.

• Resort

• Bus: There is a daily bus service between Alyeska and Anchorage run by Gray Line Buses. A return ticket cost from $12 or $8 single.
• Train: Train Direct to Girdwood (Alyeska)
• Driving: from Anchorage take New Seward Highway , take left to Alyeska Highway at mile 90 (after approx 40miles) and continue for another 3 miles until you see the sign. Total distance 45 miles (72km), drive time is about 50 minutes.
• Flying: Fly to Anchorage International (64km), transfer time to resort is 50 mins.
