Wengen

Switzerland has a reputation of been expensive  but Wengen does not have the lofty prices of other areas such as Verbier, Generally speaking a beer will set you back around 4/5 Francs and various happy hours offer 2 for 1 in the early evening. There are a range of restaurants around the town where you can get traditional Swiss fare. The town also has a well stocked coop so self catering is an option.

On the slopes a variety of food can be found 15-20 francs will get a simple but a hearty main meal. Eating out around town visitors will find a good mixture of Modern and Traditional Swizz restaurants that are well worth a visit, with good quality locally produce food. 

There are a variety of Hotels around Wengen with many located in close proximity to the ‘Wengen’ railway station. The Rock Bar offers regular Quiz Nights and Crystal Bar is good for watching sports of having some Après Ski Fun. However Wengen is definitely not a party town and the streets can be quite quiet on an evening.
