Introduction
Rougemont is nestled a quaint village that links indirectly with its bigger and more famous cousin Gstaad. It is a resort that is would suit mainly beginner / intermediates riders looking for a few days on a variety of forgiving pistes. There are officially 62km of terrain on offer here which can be boosted to a respectable 150 miles by linking with Gstaad. Rougemont on its own may prove a little small for advanced riders but spending a few days between here and Gstaad would make for a good week for most riders.
For those looking for a challenge there is a 10k run that arrives at the bottom station from Videmanette. This is recorded as a blue piste but would probably be a challenge for early intermediates. Another option is the black piste from VorderesEggli which is surprising easy for the gradient. Another advantage of visiting Rougemont is that there are at least four airport within a 2 hour drive so weekend sessions are also an option.
