Les Crosets

Both Champoussin and Les Crosets are small, quiet villages. If you're looking for choice with restaurants, bars and shops, forget it, your needs won't be met. If you're keen to be in this area of the Portes Du Soleil but you want something a little busier, take a look at Champery.

If your focus is geared more towards the shred, and you like something a little different, Les Crosets, especially, with it's good placement could be an interesting alternative to the more common resorts of the Portes Du Soleil. Getting to Avoriaz, Linderets and Pre La Joux from here is easy, which means the area's best terrain is on tap.

Champoussin is both family and ski oriented. The town council has had to close two chairs that provide good connectivity between Les Crosets and Champoussin, and whilst these chairs are closed the link between the two is terrible, really. Champoussin as a starting point isn't good.

With Val d'Illiez being quite out of the way it isn't really a good option for those interested in good slope access, there are too many better options in the Portes Du Soleil. If you do want a village that's a little away from the slopes, you'll find Val d'Illiez cheaper than Les Crosets and Champoussin, due to it's location. Champoussin and Les Crosets are 10 km from Val d'Illiez and you must use the bus. Champery is closer to Val d'Illiez, 4km, and you can travel there by train.
