The swiss villages of Les Crosets, Val d'Illiez and Champoussin form a commune within the Portes Du Soleil, and as such they are jointly governed by a local council. Whilst Val d'Illiez is not directly next to the slopes of the Portes Du Soleil, you'll find both Les Crosets and Champoussin are, with Champoussin offering true ski-in ski-out.
Les Crosets has some interesting freeriding rwithin easy reach of the chairs/pistes. Perhaps the best can be found under the Mossette-Suisse chair. From the top of the lift you turn back on yourself, to the left, and you have direct access to the face under the chair. It's wide, steep enough at the top to be fast with one or two rocks to drop if you're looking for air. The run out is straight forward, leading directly onto slopes.
The SuperPark in Les Crosets is not for the faint hearted with plenty of big kickers, hips, boxes and rails.
