Paramonovo, from Savyolovsky train station in Moscow, is a one hour journey north on an elektrichka surban train to the Tourist Station. From the desolate station platform take a 10 minute walk back down the railway line from the direction the train has just come to the main road. From here a taxi can take you the remaining 7km to the Paramonovo slopes. The fare will be about $5US, but be prepared to wait a while as there are few cars around. The resort, a local hunt for the rich Moscovites, is set amongst pine trees in the fresh air and countryside. The advertising literature boasts '10 boogie lift systems covering 10km of piste'. This may actually be true but generally as few as 3 lifts operate intermittently which can cause queues at weekends. The runs are similar length to the 'Moscow's 3 Hills' but provide a lot more possibilities for tree riding and sizeable hits. They even have spotters on the main jumps. Boogies cost around $5US (or 3UK) to hire for a day and then all lifts are free.
