Freeriders are kept interested with some particularly good freeride terrain to explore that includes trees, steeps and powder. The stuff found in Stolen Valley is pretty good, but due to avalanche danger, the area is often closed. However, the runs on the Vangslia mountain offer the best time, with some nice terrain features to ride, including steeps.
Freestyle
Freestylers have a pipe (not a hot one, though) and a snowpark. The Adalen area is a natural snowpark which should keep air heads aroused for a day or two. Ground grommets will find the uneven slopes great for flatland tricks.
Pistes
Carvers can experience what it's like to fly, by cutting some lines on the Downhill World Cup arena. What's more, Oppdal's longest run reaches a respectable 2.5 miles, offering a long ride.
Beginners
Beginners are well catered for, with loads of novice trails stretched across the 4 connected areas all accessed with one lift pass. Snowboard instruction is also very good.
