World Snowboard Day 2013 Announced!
While everyone is busy participating in their favourite activity and enjoying their free time, on our end we’ve been working hard preparing for the World Snowboard Day’s 8th edition.
So join us for this year’s event, which will take place on Sunday, December 22, 2013, with the same goal as every year: organizing activities for free, open to anyone and everyone to discover the joys of sliding on snow, to share a common passion for snowboarding, and above all else to enjoy one outrageously excellent day!
In 2012, World Snowboard day hosted 152 events in 35 countries, attracting more than 100,000 participants. In 2013, event organizers will once again plan a whole host of activities for this exceptional event: contests, beginner snowboard lessons, gear tests, demos, meet-and-greets with professional riders, drinks, concerts, video contests, and much, much more. Federations, resorts, clubs, shops, pro riders, associations and brands from all over the world are already on their way to putting together a program that will surely blow your mind!
Although we prefer to continue to maintain a little suspense before announcing what’s new for 2013, we can tell you that:
The World Snowboard Day website is in the midst of a makeover and will be online soon with lots of new functionalities, A new ambassador will take over the reins from the always effervescent 2012 ambassador, Anne-Flore Marxer. We will reveal his (or her?) name in early September!
