Val Gardena Spring Events March-April 2024
Val Gardena with its villages - Ortisei (1,236 metres), S. Cristina (1,428 metres) and Selva Val Gardena (1,563 metres) – offer a host of fun activities and events for this coming spring:
08 March 2024: “Dolomites Dirndl Ski Day”
A fun event for women will take place on 08 March 2024, on the occasion of International Women's Day.
Val Gardena, has decided to celebrate Women’s Day on the 8th of March 2024 by hosting an exciting and colourful sport event. The Women’s parallel slalom will see all participants wear a ‘dirndl’ (a traditional South Tyrolean dress). Participants will meet at the Baita Sanon on the Alpe di Siusi at 9.30 a.m. where they start off with an aperitif with DJ Simon. After that there will be a parallel slalom and a dice game at the finish line right at the slope next to the Baita Sanon. The prize giving ceremony will take place at 2.30 p.m. The race is open exclusively to women competing as a pair (friends, sisters, mother/daughter, etc.) between the ages of 18 and 99.

15- 23 March 2024: Music Festival:” Rock the Dolomites”
Rock the Dolomites is a music festival many won’t expect in peaceful Dolomites Val Gardena. Rock bands from the region will enthuse the audience with their tunes for a whole week. Instead of folk music and unique sounds you’ll only hear virtuoso guitar riffs, drum solos and passionately sung rock lyrics.

23 March 2024: “Südtirol Gardenissima” & 24 March “Gardenissima Kids”
23rd March 2024 sees the longest giant slalom in the world take place ‘The Gardenissima” in Val Gardena. A nail-biting 6 km slalom course starting from Monte Seceda and ending at the Col Raiser Valley Station, this epic slalom race takes place against the breath-taking backdrop of the snow-capped majestic Dolomite peaks. Move over grown-ups, as kids take to the slalom stage on 24th March, with a 2km course weaving from Monte Seceda to the Fermeda Valley Station.

1 April 2024: “Spring Race Party”, Fun-Skirace from Seceda to Ortisei
A fun obstacle challenge that takes skiers from the Seceda meadow right to the centre of Ortisei; The participating teams always come up with funny costumes, be it bathrobes, a swimming costume or funny hats and wear them as they ski. During the Spring Race locals and guests mingle in a fun and friendly atmosphere. The winners and the most creative team will be awarded various prizes. The highlight is a huge party which takes place at the end of the event. Local DJs with live music, pop up food stalls and wine tasting all in the centre of Ortisei.

The Spring Days long stay offer is valid between 16 March and 1st April 2024 offers 7=6 a seven-day stay for the price of six days and six days' ski pass and ski rental for the price of five days at participating establishments.
