Just announced, Hot Chip (DJ Set) will headline the Après Stage on Thursday 5th, supported by 2 Bears. The party continues on Friday 6th with Norman Jay MBE and The Cuban Brothers!

“Replace us with the things that do the job better.”
It's both a bold call to arms and a statement of nagging doubt. If they've been too long in the game, if they need replacing, somebody else better get on with it - and it better be good.
Why Make Sense? The album represents the first time the Hot Chip live band has recorded together residentially (at the rural Angelic Studios). The core five-piece band of Alexis, Joe Goddard, Owen Clarke, Felix Martin and Al Doyle were augmented by their regular drummer Sarah Jones and multi-instrumentalist Rob Smoughton (a formidable live prospect who will this summer headline Green Man and Sonar festivals, having previously headlined such venues as the Hollywood Bowl).
Funk runs deep through Why Make Sense? The unmistakable strutting sound of the clavinet drives ‘Started Right’, transplanting 1970s Stevie Wonder into a futurist soul backdrop.
It hammers home the notion that on the strength of Why Make Sense? – an unarguable creative peak - no one has built a machine that can replace Hot Chip yet.

He is arguably one of the finest and most respected deejays in the world today whose talents and many years of dedicated service to his profession have now seen him rightfully acknowledged by the highest authority in the land.
In addition to his own Giant 45 radio show on BBC London 94.9fm, Norman is also seen regularly on various network television programmes. He is a recognised authority on black music and uk club culture - featuring prominently in the recent 'Soul Nation' documentary series recently screened on Channel 4. He has also presented numerous documentary style music programmes for BBC World Service including profiling the likes of legendary American record producer Quincy Jones. He also hosted the highly acclaimed disco series 'Good Times: The Story of Disco' in 2003 and the successful funk music series 'The Funk Factory' for BBC Radio 2.
THE CUBAN BROTHERS
It’s long been said that Cubans sing when they speak, dance when they walk and woo with a love song so it should be of little surprise that The Cuban Brothers’ peerless funk soul review blends sexy, soulful music, with jaw-dropping b-boy action and riotous comedy. From humble beginnings Miguel Mantovani, Archerio Mantovani and Kengo San have built Los Hermanos Cubano - The Cuban Brothers - into a legendary outfit that continuously sells out shows across the globe.
