From October 10th -12th 2014 Kaunertal is the place to be as the resort is throwing it's gates open for the park season. 

 

Together with our partner BLUE TOMATO we are going to arrange one of the biggest festivals of the Alps with more than 70 brands at the glacier – this means you can test a huge assortment of the latest snowboard products for free. The “Monster Rail Session presented by downdays.eu” has a new rail setup and for the first time 1000,- Euro prize money. At the Pro Contest the invited international riders and the national elite fight for 9200,- USD prize money.

The riders at the Amateurs Contest have the chance to win 5 wild cards for the Pro Contest at the next years 30th anniversary of the KTO 2015. A perfect shaped Open Park and the Big Air Bag Kicker will be waiting for all snowboarders and freeskiers to try out new tricks.

 

The Adidas Jersey Jam is running for the first time at the KTO. The mc calls out the trick and the best performance gets goodies or cash. Together with VVT Smartride there is a free bus shuttle for the Opening weekend. The After-Ride BBQ Session with Mini Ramp, free BBQ, slacklining and DJ sounds is the perfect switchover to the party night. At the mountain there are plenty of side events like the snowboard museum with boards of 3 decades and chill out areas.

 

As another highlight the "School´s on glacier" project powered by the Raiffeisen Club Tirol can be listed. This program allows pupils to swap their classrooms with an environment of ice and snow and therefor creates a unique learning experience. The avalanche field of freeridecamps.at is focused on security in the backcountry.

 

And when the sun has disappeared behind the mountains we are turning night into day. The KTO Music Festival Tent has one of the best party programs of the past years. The Line Up consists of "local heros" like Yo!Zepp – Chrisfader – Testa with their rap interpretation of Tyrolean dialect and the fantastic Live band Mr. Dero & Klumzy Tung! On Friday night Cali P. & DJ Kaprisson brings some international flair into the KTO Music Festival Tent.

 

The party is completed with Kya Bamba Soundsystem and the guaranty for party, the Wax Wreckaz.And not to forget: the latest ski and snowboard movie premiers of the Pirate Movie Production, Freeski-Crew and the Postland Theory on a 15 sqm screen.
