Grandvalira has made major improvements to infrastructure and services for the coming winter season!
The largest resort in southern Europe has made a number of improvements for the coming winter season. An investment of 6 million euro's has seen a major expansion of the ski area, board parks and eating facilities. Riders will now be able to access 210 kilometres of terrain an increase of 5km from last season.
In total the developments have created 6 new tracks and hospitality has been improved throughout the resort with a wider range of restaurants, and a new single Vodka Bar which is unique in the Pyrenees.

The resort has also improved a number of freeride areas and improved snowmaking facilities with the installation of 9 new snow guns and the refurbishment of existing ones. This addition means guaranteed snow cover for over 60% of the resort is now achievable. Also beginners can look forward too the Encamp sector, which has access to the new ski lift Cortals.
As for freestyle riders they can look forward to a number of improved snowparks.
Grandvalira-El Tarter have created a park with many lines and a new big air jump, the Snowpark Xavi has also expanded the ride area and innivada in Sunset Park Peretol have installed more rails, jumps and are also opening a night park called Sunset Plaza Street.
This season will also see The 9th edition of Total Fight Masters of Freestyle, where top international riders will compete in the snowboard slopestyle test on 30 and 31 March!
And also the first edition of the Pyrenees Cup. With a Freestyle and slopestlye format for both male and females competitors. This is also to be held on 2nd and 3rd February at Sunset Park Peretol.
