The Rememarkables Vista / Tony Harrington
The Remarkables lies within sight of the Cornet Peak resort. Higher in altitude, the car park is the same level as Cornet's summit, with the result being that the mountain is very craggy and rocky. The Remarkables tends to be alot quieter than Cornet Peak with less skiers. It also gets some incredible powder days and offers terrain for every style and grade of rider. The area is some what sheltered but still gives out plenty of sun and loads of natural snow. The Homeward runs are the place to shred some deep powder where you can ride some long floating turns with an amazing back drop. The Homewards take you right down to the access road to catch the shuttle bus back to the base building in order to do the whole thing again. The runs here are accessed by three chairlifts. The Alta double chair services the best intermediate terrain to suit carvers or freeriders. The Sugar quad is the lift to take if you have a bit of go in you. Where you can get access to some good advance terrain and competent intermediate stuff. However, advanced riders looking to cut it in style and be pushed to the fore should check out the runs found off Shadow lift.
