Getting there
- Bus: Free shuttle bus runs from Myoko station 6 times a day which takes 20mins
- Train: The easiest and quickest way to get to Lotte Arai for international travellers is with the Shinkansen, a.k.a. The Bullet Train! It’s 2hrs from Tokyo Central station to Joetsu Myoko station, where the resort runs a shuttle bus service 6 times a day. It’s simple and fast, plus you get to experience the wonderfully smooth 270kms an hour Shinkansen. The only tricky part is navigating your way from the airport to Tokyo Central station.
- Driving: Alternatively, if you’re visiting Arai as part of a multi-destination trip, it’s about an hour drive north of Nagano City and only 20mins or so from Myoko.
