Small area but good fun on a powder day with some short but steep runs. The park is generally pretty good. You wouldn't want to spend more than a day or two here though.

Getting there

  • Train: Take Joetsu Shinkansen Bullet train from Toyko (77mins) to Echigo-Yuzawa. Resort is about 3.5km away, so take the free ski-bus (approx 7 minutes) outside the station
  • Driving: From Yuzawa take the Kanetsu Expressway in Nerima, then take the Route 17 line about 1km towards Tokyo.
  • Flying: Fly to Tokyo, about 80 minutes away.
