Okay alpine style resort, with a pretty good halfpipe
5/10
Freeriders don't have a great deal of adventurous terrain to explore directly at Folgarida, however, closeby there is plenty of scope for shredding in and out trees, or for riding across good off-piste powder fields and down some bumpy slopes.
Unfortunately, expert riders are generally the ones who are let down the most here, with only a few of the slopes graded as black or difficult.
Intermediates, on the other hand, have the largest share of runs to ride, with an array of red runs that crisscross all over the slopes of Folgarida and Madonna di Campiglio, plus a couple of long ones on the Marilleva area.
Theres a pretty good halfpipe over at Marilleva in the Val Panciana area, otherwise youll have to be content with just natural hits which are dotted around the place.
Beginners can come here knowing that they won't be disappointed. The resort is ideal for novices with an excellent selection of easy runs to try out, including good nursery areas that can be easily reached but are serviced by draglifts.
