Freeriders have a mountain that is not extensive especially for advanced riders. There is some good off piste freeriding with powder bowls and trees to check out. The best stuff reached from the Cima Bianca, where the runs start off steep and mellow out to test the best. Don't bother hitting this stuff in hards, you'll regret it as this section is soft boot only terrain.
Freestyle
Freestylers wanting to get big air will not find a great deal, but there are plenty of natural hits. The resort doesn't have a pipe or park, the nearest is 10 minutes away at Passo Dello Stelvio (linked by a shuttle bus). The Stelvio glacier, the largest in Europe, offers the opportunity to snowboard during the summer.
Pistes
Carvers will find that Bormio is an excellent place for any level and the 9 mile run from the top station down to the village provides plenty of time to get those big carves in. It's perfect for riders who want to see what it's like linking turns and by the time you hit the bottom, you'll know for sure.
Beginners
Beginners will find the slopes at Bormio ideal for basics and excellent for progression. What's more, all the easy stuff can be reached without tackling a drag lift.
