2006/7: the new Hausberg cable car replaces the old one and the cog-wheel train to Zugspitze is getting a refurbishment and will be able to handle more punters. 2003/4 season saw a 6-seat chair lift to the top of the Zugspitze replace the old t-bar

    Drive time is around 10 hours.
  • Flying: Fly to Munich airport about 120km (11/2 hours) away.Or Innsbruck (Tyrol) 60km.
