Following a brief and unconvincing trial separation, The BRITS is delighted to announce that it will be rekindling its love affair with LAAX, Switzerland for a week of Championship snowsports and a celebration of its flourishing freestyle scene.

LAAX has long been considered one of the best freestyle resorts on the planet with the World’s largest halfpipe and 4 dedicated snowparks, which cater for total beginners right through to the hordes of professional athletes that call it home, including snowboarding legend Nicolas Muller – beat that, Tripadvisor – but LAAX is more than just freestyle never-never land and for the 2^nd year running has been voted ‘Switzerland’s Best Ski Resort’, thanks to its 235km of high-altitude slopes, epic tree runs, ultramodern lift system, family friendly set-up and award-winning resort complex. You could say we’re glad to be back.

At the heart of The BRITS, the British Snowboard and Freeski Championships welcomes seasoned pros, budding amateurs and first-timers. For years it has been pushing our professional athletes, whilst retaining an open-door policy for anyone wishing to give-it-a-go, and more recently for a growing number that just want more than a traditional winter holiday.

During the week, riders have the chance to compete or spectate at the British Halfpipe, Slopestyle and Snowboard/Skiercross Championships, plus the more relaxed Bangers and Cash Rail Jam which highlights the street-riding talent emerging from our indoor and artificial slopes.

The move back to LAAX ensures that we give our promising young athletes the very best competitive experience and helps attract Team GB athletes like Olympic stars Jenny Jones, James Woods, Katie Summerhayes, Billy Morgan and particularly Jamie Nicholls who commented on the move…
