2012/13: The Terrain Park has a wall ride added this season and increased snowmaking will improve existing features even further. 2010/11: The Canadian Rockies Express high speed quad chairlift was installed in the suummer of 2009 and began operating in the 2009-10 season. This is the longest high speed quad chair in the Canadian Rockies and has completely transformed the Marmot Basin ski experience. This new, state-of-the-art chairlift, whisks skiers and snowboarders up 1,955 vertical feet (596m) at lightning speed meaning snowboarders spend more time on the snow and less time riding ski lifts. Our new, 8 million dollar Leitner Poma high speed quad chairlift is being installed this summer and will be ready for opening day in November, 2009. The lift is 2.3 kilometers or 1.5 miles in length and will whisk skiers and snowboarders up 1,955 vertical feet in only 7.5 minutes. The approach to “Murray’s” is accessible by hiking from the top of the Knob chair and will allow for some amazing descents.
