Freeriders have a mountain that doesnt offer a great deal in terms of exciting or varied terrain if you like to ride hard and fast. But that said there are some tight trees to check out and a few natural uneven spots to hit.
Freestylers who crave natural wind lips and big cliff jumps will be disappointed, however, the guys from the Smolyan snowboard club regularly build and maintain a decent halfpipe which measures over 100 metres.
There's a couple of good carving runs to check out but note, piste grooming is not hot here, resulting in runs being left rutted and often uneven.
Beginners are the ones who will like Pamporovo the most. The terrain is ideally suited to novices with a selection of easy to reach green and blue runs serviced by drag and chair lifts. Snowboard hire and instruction is available on the slopes.
