Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis
On mountain
Town
The resort consists of the three villages Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis. Hence, the name of the region is Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis.
You can hire or purchase your sport equipment for your winter holiday directly at the sport shops in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. The expert staff here will help you to find the right equipment. Once you are all kitted out, it is just a short stroll to the cable cars through the traffic-calmed villages.
If you want to spend some time away from the slopes entirely then Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis offers a myriad of options when it comes to wellness and relaxation as well. Time to recharge your batteries on the Tyrolean high plateau! Whether it’s a relaxing massage, a beauty treatment or practicing Qigong – there is something for everyone. Check it out here.
For a truly special experience or a celebration stop by at the Crystal Cube on the Zwölferkopf mountain in Fiss, a giant cube with completely mirrored walls that protrudes obliquely into the landscape near the Z1 panorama platform at the top station of the “Almbahn” cable car, at an altitude of 2,600 metres. There is seating room for up to eight people here (subject to prior reservation) and the location affords a magnificent panoramic view of the breath-taking mountain scenery. The motto “Is a little more okay?” certainly applies at the Crystal Cube too: to ensure that you can not only view your fill but also eat your fill, oysters and champagne are also on the menu in addition to a rich variety of finger foods. Which is perfect for newlyweds to clink glasses, as the cube isn’t just an exclusive mountain restaurant, but also one of the highest-situated registry offices in Europe.
Rhaeto-Romanic mountain village Serfaus at 1,427 m above sea level is particularly popular for its unique infrastructure: Traffic is reduced to an absolute minimum in the well-preserved, historic little town, i.e. families can nip to the ski lifts or enjoy some peaceful window shopping without having to dodge loud motorised obstacles. The Serfaus Underground takes skiers to the cable car bottom station – and back – in no time, while their cars remain safely put at the hotel or in the car park at the village entrance. Families with kids can explore the Murmli Park in the village centre, the Kinderschneealm training area for beginner skiers, and the two kid’s restaurants Murmlirest and Starrest at the Komperdell mountain.
For those staying in Fiss 1436 m The 600-year-old village centre with its distinctive house entrances retains the genuine charm of a Rhaeto-Romanic ‘Haufendorf’ (scattered village). Families will appreciate the proximity to the lifts and the extensive entertainment and learning program for children, e.g. Berta’s Kindervilla at the Ski School Fiss-Ladis in Berta’s Kinderland at the Sonnenbahn mid station.
The little village of Ladis 1192 m is known for its distinctive charm. Lovingly renovated farmhouses adorned with fresco paintings, outside staircases, carved bargeboards and historic ovens at the foot of Laudeck castle characterise the Rhaeto-Romanic townscape to this day. Ladis is also famous for the vitalising mineral water from the Sauerbrunn spring. First the Romans, then aristocrats and emperors, and now families and winter sports fans.
Food options
The region also has plenty to offer for non-skiers and culinary connoisseurs. 25 mostly readily accessible mountain restaurants delight visitors with local Tyrolean treats or culinary renditions from all over the world.
Amidst a stunning mountain setting or nestled in one of the three Tyrolean villages – the various restaurants in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis invite you to stop by for a cosy break or a tasty dinner. Enjoying local delicacies and the breath-taking view of the Tyrolean Alps is a pleasure for all senses. And after a day of sports outside in nature, the culinary delights taste even better!
For a truly special culinary experience the Sunset Dinner Masner is a must! Just when everyone else has to make their way back down to the valley, a few privileged ones get to make some final tracks in the snow of the Masner ski area, followed by dinner at the Monte Mare restaurant. With their feet snuggled in comfortable woollen slippers, the guests take their seats in the restaurant and enjoy the sunset with an aperitif and unique culinary treats. The way back to Serfaus is chaperoned by the Masner Express, a converted snow groomer that can comfortably transport up to 17 guests through the ski area.
