2015/16: New 3S Penkenbahn Cable Car – opening 19.12.2015 2007/8:There will be a new chairlift instead of two T-bars on the Ahornplateau. The ski-pass to 3,5 days is for Mayrhofen - 4 days or more are for the whole ziller-valley 2007/8  the 2 Ahornlifte t-bars on the Ahorn will be replaced with an 8-person chairlift 2006/7: 160 person cable-car the new Ahornbahn set to be the biggest in Europe will replace the existing cable-car but positioned closer to the centre of Mayrhofen 2004/5 season: 6-seater chair lift replaces the old 2-seater chairlift Eggalm-Nord, extension of the artifical snow making. 2003/4 season saw linking of Mayrhofen and Tux via the 150 cable car, creating the Ski-Zillertal 3000 linked area.

• Driving: Drive from Innsbruck and go west on the A12, take the Zillertal exit onto B169 along the Zillertal Valley for 30km to Mayrhofen.
• Flying: Fly to Innsbruck (65km), 1 1/4 hours transfer. Salzburg airport (170km) about 2 1/2 hr transfer. Munich airport 190km
