06/07: Sommerberg - Tuxerjoch on Hintertux gets snowmaking facilities. New water reservoirs. New 160 person cablecar on Ahornbahn, and improved snowmaking on Ahorn and Penken areas. 04/05: Hintertux now linked with Mayrhofen as part of the Ski Zillertal ski pass, giving you access to 230 km of pistes.

• Train: The nearest train stop is at Mayrhofen, 20 minutes away. Express train stop is Jenbach, taxi service availble to tux for 18 euros pp
• Driving: Drive from Innsbruck, go west on the A12. Exit at B169 along the Zillertal Valley past Mayrhofen and onto Hintertux Drive time from Calais is 12 hours - 700 miles (1126 km).
• Flying: Fly to Innsbruck (90km), 1 1/2 hours away. Munich 230km away.
