Mount Hotham

Generally this is an expensive resort but it offers lots of things to do, all of which are well appointed for both on the slopes and the slope side village. Off the slopes visitors will find an abundance of resort facilities with a large selection of well placed hotels, lodges and other accommodation outlets that collectively can sleep over 4000 holiday makers. The village has a good selection of places to get a meal in and a number of good late night drinking outlets.

The village has two pubs which serve great food and local beers and the village also has the basic essentials. At the other side of the resort is Dinner Plain. 

Hotham Central Alpine Village has plenty of accommodation with the lifts right at your door step. 
Away from the main resort area you Harrietville and Dinner Plain.  Harrietville is 40min down the mountain from the resort and has some very well-priced basic accommodation available.

Driving to the mountain you will need to bring snow chains or hire a set as you will need to carry them. On and the best bits is that there’s little no traffic going up the mountain which makes me think the majority stay at the Dinner Plain area.
