One of the best resorts out there - with snowboarding to suit all levels and styles. Excellent parks, fantastic off piste and good novice slopes. Very good local services too.

Palisades Tahoe, formally known as Squaw Valley, comprises of 2 mountains ("Palisades" and "Alpine") that will merge into one singular, fully connected resort, thanks to a brand new gondola lift system, that's due to open during the 2022/2023 winter season.
With its European-alpine feel, and its history in hosting the 1960 Winter Olympics, Palisades Tahoe is often voted as the best North American resort. It boasts impressive and varied terrain (for all levels), a substantial lift system as well as extremely consistent snowfall that lasts late into the season (often later than memorial day).
Expect heaps of terrain for all styles of rider to conquer - steeps, trees, long chutes, as well as easy flats for novices. There are also several conveniently located learning zones. Like many of the resorts in the Tahoe region, Palisades Tahoe serves the weekend city dweller. Don’t despair though as the slopes are usually very quiet during the week-days leaving plenty of powder and open runs to shred.
Welcome to Palisades Tahoe
