Snowboxx Festival finds a new home in the heart of the Port du Soleil ski region - Avoriaz. The festival is creating something never seen before at winter festivals, its own ‘Snowboxx Village’ right in the heart of the town. The village will host a plethora of events, main stage performances, off-the-wall festival features & local food and drink stalls.

Snowboxx has sold out 3 years in a row, months before the start of the festival. In 2015 Snowboxx took a sellout crowd of 3,000 to Alpe D’Huez where the likes of Jungle, 2manydjs, Blonde, Horsemeat Disco, Eton Messy + more took to the stage for a week of slopeside events. Organisers have promised an even bigger 2016 lineup, the first announcement will be coming in September! With more stages, more clubs shows and more on the slopes activity, Snowboxx 2016 promises to be the most thrilling yet - and with prices from £239 including Accommodation, Lift pass & Festival ticket, it is unrivaled in value.

THE PERFECT SKI RESORT - AVORIAZ

Avoriaz is a winter wonderland resort. The town is completely pedestrianised allowing you to ski straight to your door in most accommodations, and the main forms of transport around the village is on foot or by horse drawn carriage. As a ski region Avoriaz is unrivalled, with access to nearly 650km of pistes in the Port Du Soleil region, customers will have not run out of nearly runs to cruise! It also boasts 6 snow parks, including the world famous Burton Stash Park, which is  built from all natural materials and where features are carved into art pieces. Snowboxx will be hosting their own Snowpark Party with a BBQ, Beers, music and the chance for customers to take part in mini competitions for prizes!

A WHOLE NEW ERA FOR WINTER FESTIVALS: INTRODUCING THE SNOWBOXX VILLAGE

The Snowboxx Village is the centerpiece of 2016. The Village will be open all week, with days dedicated to aprés atmosphere including live bands, djs and performers taking over the area, and on special nights the village will be kept open late and turned into a main stage arena where the big guns of the lineup will be showcased.

ONE WEEK, TWO FESTIVALS: ROCK THE PISTES

If that wasn’t enough, the main stage offering is further increased, as Snowboxx combines with local festival ‘Rock the Pistes’. A festival dedicated to showcasing live music on big stages in the most unlikely locations in the heart of the slopes. Everyday during the week the festival puts on lunch time shows in different resorts in the Port Du Soleil region - including Avoriaz. With previous artists including Babyshambles, the Klaxons and Lee Scratch Perry - it is sure to bring a brand new dimension to the Snowboxx musical offering.

MORE EVENTS THAN EVER BEFORE

As always with Snowboxx there is a myriad of different events and activities to make sure there is never a dull moment at the festival. Firm favourites including Karaoke ski cabins, the onesie world record attempt and mountain meals make a reappearance in the new home.
